THE NIGERIA RALLY MOVEMENT
Nigerians speak

Nigerians are speaking, but their government is deaf. The violence in the land is a message that the cup of our oppressors is now full. The outpouring of judgement is at hand.

Nigerian rulers have become emboldened that Nigerians can do nothing. They assume that Nigerians love life too much to risk it for a new Nigeria.

On this page,  we provide Nigerians with an opportunity to respond. You can send your message to:
nigeria-rally-movement@googlegroups.com. We shall publish your message here. We will not publish your name unless you request us to.

All the secrets you know about the atrocities, corruption, and unpolished wickedness of your public officials (elected, appointed, or selected), just pour out. We shall make open what they do in the dark; for whatever makes manifest is light.

Senator David Mark:  David Mark had the audacity to ask, "What is wrong with our electoral Act?" Shame on this man! It is no wonder that both the legislature and the ruling party (PDP) are never in a hurry to pass electoral reforms. He is Nigeria's enemy!

EFCC: This is dead and stinking. Mrs. Clinton was not "misinformed". She said the truth. If our rulers don't like it, surely they will enjoy it when Nigerians run wild. The signs are on the wall.

Yar'Adua: More than two years into his presidency, President Umar Yar'Adua cannot point to one thing that he can say, without any tremor of his conscience, that he has achieved. The remaining months before 2011 are months of sword, pestilence, and famine for Nigerians. What a terrible sentence!

Fuel subsidy:  It is definitely not worrisome to President Yar'Adua and his cabal of oppressors that Nigerians don't have the kind of "hardship allowance" that Yar'Adua receives every month, besides what they steal. Removal or non-removal of subsidy is not the issue here. What plans has Yar'Adua's government put in place to protect Nigerians in a country where public transportation is absent, electricity supply is poor, and poverty is on the rise? Who are the people that the federal government pays "subsidy" to? If CBN can release the names of debtors with unserviced debts, why can't Yar'Adua release the names of those "fuel subsidy" collectors? In April, 2009, Yar'Adua's government announced that it was in possession of the names of a "cabal" that had been causing fuel scarcity in Nigeria and frustrating his seven-point agenda. Months after, Nigerians are yet to hear of any punitive actions their president has taken against this "cabal".

Electricity: In April, 2009, Yar'Adua's government told Nigerians that they had "uncovered" those who were sabotaging Yar'Adua's efforts at providing adequate electricity to Nigerians (Maybe those saboteurs are the ones that delayed his announcing "emergency" in the electric power sector). The government said generator importers were the guilty ones. Since that wonderful "discovery", Yar'Adua has gone to sleep. Announcing to Nigerians this brilliant "discovery" may be a great achievement to this guy.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN):  According to some reports, Yar'Adua was so thrilled in faraway Saudi Arabia, where he was receiving medication, about Mr. Sanusi's bold step at cleaning up the augean table in the banking sector. He felt the recent action by the new CBN governor would polish up his messy government. If all the action could achieve is an expanded presidential ego, then I regret to inform Nigerians that we have nothing to celebrate yet. I shall be measured in my comments yet. If the actions by Mr. Sanusi have resulted at the moment in

 i) downgrading of Nigeria's credit rating
ii) downgrading of investor confidence in Nigeria

then it may be that the approach was wrong in treating a sickness that had to be treated. If i) and ii) continue into next year, then Sanusi's actions were poorly executed. For now, I would give him a B, as I wait and see how he will undo the collateral damage.
